Bio

Tim Miller has served as head football coach at Lapel High School for more than a decade and has become one of the most influential leaders in the history of the Bulldogs program. When he assumed the position in June of 2012, roster numbers were low and the program struggled to compete. Through steady leadership and commitment, Miller increased participation and built a culture of pride, accountability, and competitiveness. Working alongside longtime Lapel Optimist Club Directors Tony and Karen Mullett, Lapel has developed into a consistent Class 2A contender. In fourteen seasons, his teams have posted multiple winning records and captured six sectional championships, including three in a four-year span. In 2025, Miller guided the Bulldogs to their first undefeated regular season and the program’s first regional championship. Miller is the winningest football coach in school history and has established a tradition of success that players and alumni proudly represent. Beyond victories and championships, he is highly respected for mentoring student-athletes and fostering a family atmosphere within the program. His leadership continues to define the standard for Lapel football and exemplifies the values of Bulldog athletics. A graduate of Mt. Vernon (Fortville) High School and Trine University, Miller’s previous coaching stops include Hoke County High School (NC), Ohio Dominican University, East Lincoln High School (NC), and Mt. Vernon (Fortville) High School before arriving at Lapel.
