Bio

Tony and Karen Mullett are the heart of the Lapel Football youth program. Their leadership is rooted in service, humility, and a genuine love for the young athletes and families in our community. For 50+ years, they have volunteered their time, energy, and resources to ensure that every child who wants to play football has the opportunity to do so. From organizing registrations and equipment handouts to lining fields, coordinating schedules, and quietly helping families behind the scenes, the Mulletts do countless jobs that often go unnoticed, but make the program possible and successful. They approach every task with a servant-leader mindset — always putting kids first and never seeking recognition for themselves. More importantly, Tony and Karen have helped create a culture. They model sportsmanship, character, and commitment, reminding players that Lapel Football is about more than wins and losses on Friday nights. Rather, it is about the commitment individuals make to themselves, the team, and the community. Because of their efforts, young athletes learn teamwork, accountability, and pride in representing their school and community. The strength of the Lapel Football program today is due in large part to their dedication. The Mulletts have impacted not only seasons, but lives — building relationships, supporting families, and creating an environment where players feel valued and encouraged. Lapel Football is stronger because of their generosity, and the Lapel community is better because of their example.
